Today residents of endangered houses in Old Tbilisi and the Mayor of Tbilisi have visited the site at Kavtaradze Street. 11 families will be resettled to this residential house by the middle of coming January. Most of the construction works on the site are already completed, with facade and inside finishing works under in progress. According to Gigi Ugulava the project “New Life of Old Tbilisi” is very successful. This project gives an opportunity to improve leaving conditions for residents of endangered houses. The first part of the project was completed successfully, which gives us hope that this project will continue and thousands of people living in unbearable conditions will resettle to new houses.
The CEO of Arci, Tornike Abuladze, said: “Construction works on the site restarted thanks to program “New Life of Old Tbilisi”. In addition to 11 families moving from older houses to this building, 54 families have apartments purchased in this project. All these families will be able to move to new apartments by the end of January.
